Welcome to the New Zealand WiFi Zone web site.
The WiFi Zone is an exciting new development for the Mackenzie District. Crystal Rock Ltd, an engineering consultancy business based in Twizel, is providing a wireless Internet service.
We specialise in the provision of broadband Internet access to your home or business.
Major advantages of wireless access include:
- a phone line is not required
- you don't have to wait for cable infrastructure to be provided
- it can be re-located readily
Most laptops and some desktop computers already have WiFi capability, so if you are in the zone all you need to get connected is a WiFi Zone account.
The WiFi Zone network is currently expanding coverage to include the whole town. Access is already available to some residential and commercial customers, and will be more widely available as the network grows. In the longer term we will be providing broadband Internet access to the surrounding area and other Mackenzie towns.
